Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Combine is in the books. Today's workout groups: EDGE, DL, LB. We tracked 7 noteworthy measurables throughout the day β here's everything that moved the needle.

Notable Measurables
Styles Drops Jaw-Dropping 43.5" Vertical
43.5-inch vertical. That's not a linebacker number β that's a freak-of-nature number. Sonny Styles backed it up with a 4.46 forty and 11-2 broad jump at 6-5, 244 lbs, making him one of the most athletically complete linebackers tested in combine history. Both our scouts flagged his versatility as his calling card β this puts him in the conversation for top-10 overall. Dynasty IDP managers: if you can get him, you get him.
Bailey Runs 4.50, Arm Length Confirms Starter Profile
David Bailey checked every box in Indianapolis: 4.50 forty, 10-6 broad jump, 35" vertical, and 33.6" arms at 251 lbs. The arm length concern was real β Scout1 flagged that as his biggest unknown β and 33.6" is plenty. He's not Bain (who measured short), he's the guy with the production AND the size. The most complete EDGE in this class just made his case on paper.
Bain's 30.9" Arms: Shortest EDGE Since 1999
Rueben Bain Jr. confirmed what teams feared: 30β " arm length, the fourth-shortest among edge rushers since 1999 per MockDraftable. Both our scouts anticipated the short arms β Scout2 specifically called him a potential 3-tech converter β and this measurement makes that conversation louder. He's still a top-10 pick on burst and production alone, but teams with strict length thresholds are going to blink. Dynasty value: slight downgrade on ceiling, not a crater.
Banks Measures as Generational DT Specimen
Caleb Banks: 6-6 ΒΌ, 327 lbs, 35" arms, 10β " hands β the longest wingspan among combine defensive tackles since 1999. After missing most of 2024 with a broken foot, he showed up in Indy looking every bit the Day 1 difference-maker. Scout1 pegged his frame as generational; this confirms it. The 5.05 forty is slow but irrelevant for a 3-tech who wins with length and explosion. Stock rising after a pre-draft process that's been nothing but wins.
Reese Posts Elite 4.46 at 241 Lbs
Arvell Reese ran a 4.46 forty at 6-4, 241 lbs β elite speed for any linebacker, let alone one with his size. Scout1 specifically highlighted his closing speed as his best trait, and he just proved it with a stopwatch. 32.5" arms add to an already impressive frame. Ohio State's EDGE-converted linebacker is going to be a first-round pick, and today made that case undeniable.
Woods Skips Testing β Short Arms a Concern
Peter Woods didn't run or jump in Indianapolis, and his measurements raised eyebrows: 31ΒΌ" arm length ranks in the 4th percentile for combine DTs since 1999. Scout1 warned about a production step-back in 2024 after pre-draft hype; Scout2 called him a 'power-only 3-tech with stiff hips.' The arm length isn't disqualifying, but skipping on-field work combined with fourth-percentile length means his pro day on March 12 just became must-watch. Cautious until then.
Hill Runs 4.51 With Elite Vertical at Texas LB
Anthony Hill Jr. looked the part: 4.51 forty, 37" vertical, 10-5 broad jump at 6-2, 238 lbs. Our scouts called him the most complete linebacker in the class, and he just validated that with a well-rounded athletic profile β no red flags anywhere. He's not Sonny Styles in pure athleticism, but he's cleaner as a traditional MIKE linebacker. Still a top-15 pick; this cements it.
