THE MODEL

Every player is scored on three pillars:

  • Pulse (50%) - Recent performance from efficiency metrics (fantasy points, EPA, TD rate, rushing upside for QBs; touches, target share, yards per route for skill positions)
  • Age (25%) - Youth premium with position-specific aging curves (QBs peak at 30, RBs at 24, WRs at 26, TEs at 27)
  • Opportunity (25%) - Volume stats, games played percentage, and roster status (IR/inactive players get dinged)

In 1QB leagues, QBs receive a 0.85x multiplier - reflecting the reality that when you only start one, the replacement-level gap shrinks dramatically. This reshuffles the entire board.

TIER 1: THE ELITE (1-5)

1.Puka NacuaWR, LA95.4

In 1QB, the best WR is the best asset - period. A 95.3 pulse at 24 with a 98.2 opportunity score. Nacua is doing things we haven't seen from a young receiver since prime Julio Jones. The volume, efficiency, and age profile are all perfect.

2.Jaxon Smith-NjigbaWR, SEA94.5

JSN is right on Nacua's heels. A 93.3 pulse at 23, locked into Seattle's target tree. The gap between these two and the rest of the WR field is significant. Either one is a 1.01 candidate in 1QB startups.

3.Bijan RobinsonRB, ATL94.2

The best RB in dynasty regardless of format. A 93.0 pulse, perfect opportunity, and he's only 23. Robinson's receiving work makes him matchup-proof. The only question is whether any RB is worth this much long-term - the position ages fast.

4.Jahmyr GibbsRB, DET92.1

Gibbs matches Robinson's pulse (92.3) and age profile (23). The slightly lower opportunity (93.1 vs 100.0) reflects the David Montgomery timeshare, but Gibbs is clearly the alpha in that backfield going forward. Elite dynasty RB2.

5.Trey McBrideTE, ARI92.0

A TE at #5 overall in 1QB is a statement. McBride's 87.9 pulse and perfect opportunity at 25 make him the clear TE1. In a format where QB value is compressed, elite TEs become even more valuable. McBride is the new Kelce.

TIER 2: THE CORE ASSETS (6-15)

6.Amon-Ra St. BrownWR, DET90.2
7.Ja'Marr ChaseWR, CIN89.1
8.Jonathan TaylorRB, IND86.9
9.Drake LondonWR, ATL85.8
10.George PickensWR, PIT84.3
11.Christian McCaffreyRB, SF83.0
11.James CookRB, BUF83.0
13.Kyle PittsTE, ATL82.0
14.Brock BowersTE, LV81.2
15.Devon AchaneRB, MIA81.1

No QBs in the top 15. That's the 1QB reality - when everyone starts one, the positional advantage disappears. The board becomes about WRs, RBs, and premium TEs.

Jonathan Taylor at #8 is interesting - his 89.5 pulse is elite (third among RBs), but the 68.3 age score at 26 shows the RB cliff approaching. He's a win-now asset, not a rebuild cornerstone.

Bowers at #14 despite being on IR. A 22-year-old TE with a perfect 100.0 age score and 82.8 pulse. The opportunity (59.2) is the only thing holding him back. He's a top-5 dynasty TE for the next decade.

TIER 3: THE BUILDING BLOCKS (16-25)

16.Tyler WarrenTE, IND80.0
17.Drake MayeQB, NE79.9
18.Ashton JeantyRB, LVR79.2
19.Chase BrownRB, CIN79.0
20.Kyren WilliamsRB, LA78.9
21.Tucker KraftTE, GB78.8
21.CeeDee LambWR, DAL78.8
23.Zay FlowersWR, BAL78.7
24.Tetairoa McMillanWR, CAR78.1
25.Colston LovelandTE, CHI77.9

Maye is the first QB at #17. Even the best young QB in the game only cracks the top 20 in 1QB. He's still worth rostering for the rushing upside and weekly ceiling, but you're not building around a QB in this format.

The TE depth is remarkable - Warren (#16), Kraft (#21), Loveland (#25). All under 25, all with 88+ age scores. This is a golden generation for the position. If you can grab two of these guys, your TE advantage is locked in for years.

CeeDee at #21 is the same story as superflex - the Dallas situation is suppressing his value. A change of scenery makes him a top-10 asset overnight.

TIER 4: THE SECOND WAVE (26-35)

26.Rashee RiceWR, KC77.5
27.Chris OlaveWR, NO76.3
28.A.J. BrownWR, PHI76.2
29.Emeka EgbukaWR, TBB75.8
30.Rome OdunzeWR, CHI75.7
31.Omarion HamptonRB, LAC75.6
32.Dalton KincaidTE, BUF75.4
33.Justin JeffersonWR, MIN75.0
33.Jake FergusonTE, DAL75.0
35.Bucky IrvingRB, TB74.7

Jefferson at #33 will turn heads. A 61.4 pulse from an underwhelming 2025 is the culprit. The age (26) and opportunity (88.5) are fine - the model just isn't convinced by the recent production. If he bounces back to WR1 form, he's a top-10 asset again. Classic buy-low window.

A.J. Brown at #28 is entering the "still good but aging" phase. A 72.8 pulse at 28 with a 76.2 age score. He's a solid WR2 for the next 2-3 years, but you shouldn't be paying peak prices.

Hampton at #31 is the sneaky RB to target. Just 22 with a 92.5 age score and a 72.1 opportunity that should climb as the Chargers lean on him more.

TIER 5: THE DEPTH (36-50)

36.Tee HigginsWR, CIN74.4
36.Quentin JohnstonWR, LAC74.4
38.Josh AllenQB, BUF74.2
39.Jameson WilliamsWR, DET73.9
40.Dallas GoedertTE, PHI73.7
41.Travis EtienneRB, JAX73.6
42.Harold FanninTE, CLE73.3
43.A.J. BarnerTE, SEA72.5
44.Josh JacobsRB, GB72.4
45.Trevor LawrenceQB, JAX72.3
46.Oronde GadsdenTE, LAC72.0
47.D'Andre SwiftRB, CHI71.8
48.Juwan JohnsonTE, NO71.7
49.Hunter HenryTE, NE71.6
50.Wan'Dale RobinsonWR, NYG71.5

Josh Allen at #38 - the best real-life QB in football is barely a top-40 dynasty asset in 1QB. That's the format in a nutshell. His weekly ceiling is still massive, but you can find QB1 production on waivers in 1QB leagues.

The TE factory continues - Fannin (#42), Barner (#43), Gadsden (#46) are all under 24 with perfect or near-perfect age scores. Dart throw any of these guys and you might land a TE1.

Etienne at #41 is interesting - Jacksonville's backfield is muddled, but he's still getting volume (88.4 opportunity). At 26, the window is narrowing but he's a useful RB2 for contenders.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • WRs in top 50: 18
  • RBs in top 50: 12
  • TEs in top 50: 12
  • QBs in top 50: 3 (Maye #17, Allen #38, Lawrence #45)
  • First QB: Drake Maye at #17
  • Average age, top 10: 24.8
  • Youngest in top 50: Colston Loveland (21.4), Harold Fannin (21.1)

THE 1QB TAKEAWAY

The numbers tell a clear story: in 1QB dynasty, positional scarcity at TE matters more than QB. There are 12 TEs in the top 50 and only 3 QBs. Young WRs and RBs are king, elite TEs are the differentiator, and QBs are an afterthought.

Build your dynasty team accordingly: pay up for Nacua/JSN/Robinson, secure a young TE or two, and stream QBs. That's how you win in 1QB.

METHODOLOGY NOTE

These rankings update daily using aggregated NFL play-by-play data from the 2025 season. The model incorporates roster status - players on injured reserve or inactive lists receive reduced opportunity scores. It does not use expert consensus, ADP, or subjective tiers. It is purely data-driven.

1QB scoring applies a 0.85x multiplier to QBs. For superflex rankings, visit dynastysignal.com and toggle the league type.
